Life Happens

You may have noticed there have been no updates here for a while.  This has been a case of “life happens”.  I originally set this site up over two years ago as a place for my partner and I to share our experiences in making purchases together.  What I didn’t know at the time was that doing this as a project with my “partner” was shooting at a moving target.  Relationships don’t always work.

No one has ever looked at me like she does
No one has ever looked at me like she does

My quandary was what to do with this site?  My partner was never that interested even when we were together.  But neither did I want to lose the work I put into it.  For a while, though, initiative was a very hard commodity to come by.  When the clouds darken your life gradually, sometimes it’s hard to see just how dark things have really become.  And so the site languished.  It wasn’t until I met Michelle and she brought the sun back that I realized how dark I’d let myself get.  I look at photos of myself before and after and there is no comparison.

So, initiative is in more abundant supply now.  I don’t want to lose the work I’ve done, but neither do I want to just put Michelle in like she’s a replacement.  She isn’t.  We aren’t.  In the end, though, I decided not to overthink it.  This is a together project, and we are going to do it together.  That simple.

So welcome to Michelle and Kurt’s site for product experience.  More revue to come.

Site changes

Anyone here for the last few weeks should know that the reviews (review) has changed locations. For those familiar with WordPress, reviews are now “pages” rather than blog “posts”. This is so that we can actually blog. I’ve dropped in a little plugin that adds category support to pages, so now we have the ability for musings (Trish and I just chatting about stuff), reviews (actual formal reviews of products) and articles (me blathering on about nerdy stuff).

The old review permalinks will forward to the new pages.
